Ford Racing Performance Parts [Privacy Policy]

Privacy
Ford Racing Technology is committed to protecting the privacy of our customers and the users of our web sites. After all, we value your interest in us, and would like to build a lasting relationship with you. All of our actions will strive to enhance our relationship – with us being forthright about how we handle your information.

This policy applies to the following web sites:
www.fordracingparts.com
www.fordracingperformancegroup.comwww.performanceparts.ford.com

The Ford Racing Technology web sites can be used to obtain information on our performance products and services without collecting any personal information from you. You are not required to register or enter personal information in order to use the above web sites. And we will never share your information with non-affiliated third parties.

Ford Racing Technology does, however, collect four types of information – tracking information, part information, vehicle specific information, and personal information. None are ever sold, traded, rented, loaned, or provided to anyone outside of Ford Motor Company, except as explained below.

Tracking Information
The tracking information we collect pertains to site navigation and is maintained in session logs. None of this information can be related back to our users.

Session Logs: What they are and how we use them.
When you visit any web site, the server housing the pages automatically generates a "session log." The logs are used by the owners of the sites to track the pages you visit or request. The only data gathered is the Internet Protocol (IP) address from which you came, the web site that referred you, the pages you visited and the date and time of those visits.

We use session logs to help us determine how people travel through our site. In this way, we can structure our pages so that the information most frequently visited is easier to find. By tracking page visits, we can also determine if the information we're providing is being used.

Personally Identifiable Information -- Registration
When you register on one of our sites, we may ask you to provide information about yourself. The following sites may ask for information such as name, address, e-mail address, areas of interest, event dates preferred, parts owned/used, vehicles owned/used. Please note: we will never share your personal information with non-affiliated third parties, and never send e-mail to you unless you complete a registration process of some kind where you provide your e-mail address. In all cases, the information collected is used solely to support your involvement in the programs and processes of Ford Racing Technology, unless otherwise disclosed on the data entry screen at the time of entry. With the exception of those cases where we ask for and receive your consent to us sharing specific pieces of information for a specific purpose, we never provide your information to anyone outside Ford Racing Technology or Ford Motor Company. See 'Information Requested and Its Treatment' below for more information.

A "cookie" is a small text file that helps us in many ways to make your visit to our website more enjoyable and meaningful to you. They also allow us to tailor a website or advertisement to better match your interests and preferences. There are a couple different types of cookies. A "session" cookie is stored only in your computer's working memory (RAM) and only lasts for your browsing session. When you close all of your browser's windows, or when you shut down your computer, the session cookie disappears forever. A "persistent" cookie is stored on your computer's hard drive until a specified date, which could be tomorrow, next week, or 10 years from now. Persistent cookies stay on your computer until either a) they expire,) they are overwritten with newer cookies, c) you manually remove them. Most browsers can be configured not to accept cookies, however, this may prevent you from having access to some site functions or features.
