One of the vehicles in the Ford Racing corral, this Shelby GT500 is known internally as ITOP, or the "Ivory Tower of Power". Boasting 605 horsepower, this car is awesome on the street and at the track. Even though it has gobs of power, it has respectable road manners and can achieve decent gas mileage. During an eight hour excursion to Pennsylvania last Fall, the ITOP achieved 24.6 mpg on the highway. Along the way we let a few customers "test" drive it and even with all of the thrashing, the average mpg for the trip was 21.2 mpg. Not bad for a vehicle that can score low 12's at the track.
